Addressing the Ancient Of Days, The Bab has said
“O THOU Remnant of God! I have sacrificed myself wholly for Thee; I have accepted curses for Thy sake, and have yearned for naught but martyrdom in the path of Thy love. Sufficient witness unto me is God, the Exalted, the Protector, the Ancient of Days “
(The Bab, Selections from the Writings of the Bab, p. 59)
The Bab has said that is is impossible to enter the dwelling place or habitation of the Ancient Of Days
“The contingent world hath no other access unto the presence of the Ancient of Days. Whatever is sent down cometh through the Exponent of His Revelation, and whatever ascendeth, ascendeth unto the Exponent of His Revelation.” VIII, 19.
(The Bab, Selections from the Writings of the Bab, p. 81)
Thou art the Ancient of Days Whom none can ever describe through the evidences of Thy glory and majesty, and Thou art the mighty One Whom none can ever comprehend through the revelations of Thy greatness and beauty, inasmuch as the expressions of majesty and grandeur and the attributes of dominion and beauty are but the tokens of Thy divine Will and the effulgent reflections of Thy sovereignty which, by reason of their very essence and nature, proclaim that the way is barred and bear witness that the pathway is inaccessibly beyond the reach of men.
(The Bab, Selections from the Writings of the Bab, p. 212)
The Invisible Of The Invisibles, The Ancient Of Days speaks through The Bab; Who Is the Prophet Herald of Baha’u’llah.
“Verily, verily, I am God, He besides Whom there is none other God, and I am indeed the Ancient of Days…”
(The Bab, Selections from the Writings of the Bab, p. 57)
The Term Ancient Of Days is also contained in the writings of the Baha’u’llah: The supreme Manifestation of God.
“Concern yourselves with the things that benefit mankind, and not with your corrupt and selfish desires. O ye followers of this Wronged One! Ye are the shepherds of mankind; liberate ye your flocks from the wolves of evil passions and desires, and adorn them with the ornament of the fear of God.
This is the firm commandment which hath, at this moment, flowed out from the Pen of Him Who is the Ancient of Days. By the righteousness of God! The sword of a virtuous character and upright conduct is sharper than blades of steel.
The voice of the true Faith calleth aloud, at this moment, and saith: O people! Verily, the Day is come, and My Lord hath made Me to shine forth with a light whose splendor hath eclipsed the suns of utterance. Fear ye the Merciful, and be not of them that have gone astray.” (Baha’u’llah, Epistle to the Son of the Wolf, p. 29)
